Tuesday On The Island Tailgate Totals

Hey everyone! Just met with the Iowa Events Center people and we have the final totals for what we raised from the Tuesday On The Island Tailgate party on April 17th! Together the Iowa Events Center, Des Moines Parrothead Club and Isle of Iowa Parrothead Club were able to raise over $11,000 that will be going to the charities supported by both clubs. The event was a huge success and, from all accounts that I have heard, everyone had a great time. I would like to thank everyone that helped with, came out to or supported the tailgate party. We have shown yet again that Parrotheads know how to Party With A Purpose! If we get lucky enough to have Jimmy Back in Des Moines again, we plan on putting on a similar event, so keep your fingers crossed! Phins Up!

DSMPHC 1st Annual Golf Outing

The Des Moines Parrothead Club will be hosting our 1st Annual 4 Person Best Ball Tournament, to benefit the American Heart Association, on May 19, 2012 at Woodland Hills Golf Course. The tournament will have a shotgun start at Noon. You may form a team of 4 or sign up on your own. Those that do not have a full team of 4, will be set up with other players to form teams. Cost will be $60 per person which will include cart, 18 holes of golf, cheeseburger dinner and a donation to the American Heart Association. One keg will be provided after golfing until gone and a cash bar will be open. There will be many chances to win prizes from our sponsors!

Buffett coming to Des Moines

That's right Des Moines Parrotheads! Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will be at Wells Fargo Arena on Tuesday, April 17th! Tickets to go on sale on Saturday, March 3rd.
