Thanks everyone!!! - Chili Cook-Off at the Clipper - Benefit for Animal Lifeline!!! The Des Moines Parrothead Club board members would like to thank all of those that attended/helped out with the 1st annual DSM PHC Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, March 22nd. The event went very well and we were able to raise $429 for the Animal Lifeline(http://www.animal-lifeline.com/). We would also like to send a special thank you to the Yankee Clipper for hosting the event as well as the Landshark Lager representatives. Congratulations to our cook-off winners: 1st Place: Mark Konrad 2nd Place: Bill Gorius 3rd Place: Dawnie Rominger We will have pictures of the event on the website soon, and are planning to make this an annual occasion. Thanks again Parrotheads, you have once again shown what it means to "Party With a Purpose"! Board Meeting Wednesday! Come join us at the Twisted Parrot on Hickman....all members welcome!!! March Club Social - Chili at the Clipper - Benefit for Animal Lifeline March's club social will be held this Saturday, March 22nd. We will be having the 2008 Des Moines Parrothead Chili Cook Off to benefit the Animal Lifeline. Free will donations will be accepted at the cook off, with all proceeds going to the Animal Lifeline(http://www.animal-lifeline.com/). There will also be several board members from the Animal Lifeline in attendance! We will be meeting at the Yankee Clipper, in Ankeny(312 SW Maple St.), at 3:30 PM. The Clipper will also have Landshark Lager on hand (www.landsharklager.com)! Eat some good chili and wash it down with a Landshark Lager`````/\`````all while helping out a great cause! See you there!
